Ocala Apostille Notary Service

Do you have a State of Florida document that needs to be used abroad/out of the country?

A Florida apostille authenticates the signature of a Florida public official or a Florida notary public on a document that is intended for use outside the United States.

When documents need to be recognized in a foreign country, an apostille may be required. 11th Hour Mobile Notary assists individuals, families, students, and businesses with the apostille process for a wide range of documents. Whether you need a birth certificate, marriage certificate, power of attorney, diploma, transcript, or corporate document authenticated for international use, we help streamline the process and ensure documents are properly prepared before submission. Our mobile service provides convenient assistance throughout Florida, helping clients avoid unnecessary delays and paperwork issues.

Over 120 countries accept federal apostilles issued by the U.S. Department of State under the Hague Convention.

Please note: The Florida Secretary of State’s Division of Corporations office is open for apostille services Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, excluding state holidays, which could impact how quickly your apostille will be processed and returned to you.

Federal Apostille vs. State Apostille
A federal apostille is issued by the U.S. Department of State for documents from federal agencies (FBI, USCIS, federal courts, military, USPTO, SSA, IRS). A state apostille is issued by a state Secretary of State for state-level documents (birth certificates, marriage licenses, diplomas). Submitting a federal document to a state office — or vice versa — will result in rejection.

Federal apostilles are processed and issued by the US Department of State
Documents requiring federal authentication, such as FBI background checks, Certificates of Naturalization, and other records issued by federal agencies, must be sent directly to:
U.S. Department of State’s Office of Authentications, Authentication Officer, United States Department of State 600 19th Street NW, Washington, DC 20006

How to Get an FBI Background Check: During this process, you can ask the FBI to forward your background check to the Department of State for the Apostille.
